Edgerley Family Horizons Center
Designed by studioMLA Architects, the Edgerley Family Horizons Center enables Horizons for Homeless Children to expand its capacity to provide high-quality early education and comprehensive support services for families experiencing homelessness and gives the organization a landmark physical presence in the Roxbury neighborhood.
The 10,000 SF play spaces incorporate trauma-informed design strategies to better support the children and families Horizons serves. Built on top of the parking garage the play areas provide a broad range of play opportunities for the children in a natural, welcoming environment. The play spaces can be used by infants, young and older toddlers, and pre-school-aged children.
