Waterworks Museum

studioMLA Architects was selected as the architect for the new Waterworks Museum in Boston Massachusetts. Located in a historic Richardsonian structure, the Museum showcases the complex machinery that provided the city with drinking water. The museum team, including exhibit designer Mark Kennedy, took a subtle approach to alter the space, prioritizing lighting the machines effectively to create an educational and cultural resource for the city.

The museum opened in April of 2011.
