NYU Langone Medical Center

New York University Langone Medical Center is one of the leading hospitals in New York. studioMLA Architects was selected to design a new child and family center for the NYU Langone Medical Center. NYU’s mission includes actively promoting work-life balance for employees. Our team worked closely with the medical center’s Facilities team and an in-house design team to create a high-quality center that would reflect the institution’s values and incorporate best practices in early care and education.

This creative adaptive reuse of a ground floor retail and an office space was designed to be extremely efficient while maintaining a light, open feel, and generous classroom and enhancement spaces. It features an activity wall with a fish tank and mural, a climbing wall, and a STEM lab.
