Location: Boston, MA

Studio MLA was selected as the architect for the new Waterworks Museum in Boston Massachusetts. Located in an historic Richardsonian structure and showcasing the amazing machinery that was installed to provide the city with drinking water, the museum team including exhibit designer Mark Kennedy took a low key approach to putting the space and the machines in the best light possible to help create an educational and cultural resource for the city. The museum opened in April of 2011.
