Location: Jamaica Plain, MA

This innovative project strives to bring a myriad of social and educational services to an underserved community in the Bromley Heath housing development in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood of Boston. The project is inspired by the Harlem Children’s zone and the Educare network, but creates a new model based on a web of family service partners with a state-of-the-art child development center as its hub. The project will serve children from 6 weeks to 8 years old using a project based educational model with a focus on the needs of the whole family. The site integrates natural outdoor play spaces and the project is designed to achieve a LEED Gold certification.
