Kylie Durekas is passionate about designing spaces that inspire creativity and connection to the natural environment. She is interested in a variety of projects that include ecological restoration, therapeutic landscape design, universal design, and environmental education. Her 3-D visualization skills and planting knowledge have been instrumental in her communication with clients and her design of sensory landscapes.
Kylie has her bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. In her senior thesis, she focused on the connection between therapeutic landscape design and mental health. This has influenced her love for designing easily accessible spaces for reflection, socialization, and interaction with the natural environment.
In her free time, Kylie enjoys camping, hiking, surfing, and volunteering.
